Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen Says the Earth is 6000 Years Old, Twice

Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen (R)  says the Earth is only 6000 years old, twice, while supporting uranium mining in the state. It is a scientific fact that the planet Earth is 4.54 billion years old by studying the radioactive decay of uranium.

Some Christians and those of the Jewish faith believe the world to be 4000 – 6000 years old, based in part on the chronologies in the Bible and also on interpretation of scientific data.

Let’s hope that was just a slip of the tongue, not a conscious statement she holds near and dear to her heart. If so, I shake my head at her stupidity.
